Lister Lion Sculpture
Our miniature Lister Lion Sculpture was created in clay by vXc Creative's sculptor (Candice Farnden-Collins), then individually hand-cast in marble dust and cement mix.
The original Lister Lion was made for Anne Lister in the 1830s during her period of alterations and improvements. It incorporates the Lister family coat of arms with 3 stars. It stands on the west side of Shibden Hall, guarding Anne Lister’s gothic tower.
